The Wave Project
In Cornwall, the sea is more than a view, it’s a lifeline. The Wave Project uses surf therapy to help young people facing anxiety, low confidence, and social isolation find calm, connection, and joy. With trained volunteer surf mentors, gentle sessions, and a wetsuit waiting with their name on it, a cold Atlantic morning becomes a place to belong.
Your support keeps this happening week after week: it helps provide safe kit and warm layers, covers transport for families who need it, funds specialist coaches, and trains local volunteers. Most of all, it creates steady, welcoming spaces where a young person can try, fail, laugh, and try again. Until standing up on a board feels like standing up for themselves.
